Missing 5-year-old boy with autism in St. Mary's County located, officials say

LOVEVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A 5-year-old boy with autism who was reported missing in St. Mary's County on Tuesday has been located and is safe, according to officials.

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office reported Liam Harper ran from an employee at Benjamin Banneker Elementary School in Loveville, Maryland.

A massive search was launched with helicopters, ATVs and K-9s searching near the school for Liam.

The sheriff's office later reported that Liam was found and was safe.
