Metro workers fill bus with food for families in need
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A bus full of food collected by Metro workers will be delivered to the Capital Area Food Bank on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to help families in need.
Metro's 1st Annual Day of Giving began in December as employees began collecting donations from Metro workers at rail and bus yards across the region.
Volunteers will unload the bus on Monday and will begin weighing and bagging all of the items for delivery to the Capital Area Food Bank.
The donations will help feed seniors and low-income families in need.
