Man with autism who was missing from Gaithersburg located safe and unharmed
GAITHERSBURG, Md. - NEWS UPDATE - 8AM: Police say Alvaro Cervantes has been located and is safe.
Police are searching for a man with autism who went missing from Montgomery County.
28-year-old Alvaro Cervantes left his house on McDonald Chapel Court in Gaithersburg yesterday around 2:30 p.m. to go shopping and did not return.
Cervantes is a Hispanic male, 5-foot-4-inches-tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has curly black hair and brown eyes and may be walking with a limp.
Police say Cervantes is familiar with public transportation and may be at a bus stop or transit center. He might be carrying a white backpack.
