Man suspected of biting Manassas lingerie boutique employee on the behind arrested, police say

MANASSAS, Va. - Police have arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a female employee while she was working at a Manassas lingerie boutique.

Officers say 25-year-old Benjamin Alex Dinarte was arrested without incident at his residence in Manassas on Tuesday. He faces numerous charges including sexual battery, assault, and trespassing.

Police say the incident happened on April 16 at the Le Tache Couples Boutique on Portsmouth Road.

In an interview last week with FOX 5, the boutique employee who was allegedly sexually assaulted during the incident told us that the man identified as Dinarte bit her on the behind during the attack. She said he entered the store around 8 p.m. and told her he wanted to buy some lingerie for his wife. She said she retreated behind the counter after he started making advances toward her.

"When my back was turned, he came back here and that is when he bit me in the a**. Then I turned around and I pushed him. I was like, 'You need to get out of here.' So I pushed him out and he was like, 'Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.' Then he came back and was on his knees and trying to pull my dress off," she told FOX 5.

The victim told us she called police as Dinarte fled but not before he told her he would be back.

Dinarte is being held without bond. He has a court date scheduled for June 4.
