Man struck, killed by tractor trailer in Prince George's County was lying in the roadway before being hit, police say
CLINTON, Md. - Authorities say a man who was killed after being struck by a tractor trailer overnight in Prince George's County was lying in the roadway before being hit.
The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday on Branch Avenue south of Surratts Road in the Clinton area.
The driver of the tractor trailer told police that the victim, identified as 58-year-old Lincoln Carroll, was lying in the roadway and suddenly stood up in front of the truck before being hit.
No charges against the driver are expected and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, authorities say.
The incident is still under investigation.
