Man stabbed, killed at DC Metro station; police search for 3 suspects

A manhunt is underway for three suspects police say were involved in the deadly stabbing of a man at a Metro station in D.C.

Investigators say the stabbing happened just before midnight on the escalators of the Potomac Avenue Metro Station along the 1400 block of Potomac Avenue in the Southeast.

Authorities say an adult male victim was stabbed and taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Police say they are looking for three suspects connected to the attack. The first is described by authorities as a black male, 16 to 18-years-old, wearing a red hat black jacket blue pants and carrying a basketball. The second is described as a black male, 16 to 18-years-old. The third is described as a black female, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall, wearing a black top and blue jeans.

Officers have not released a motive for the attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
