Man killed, passenger injured in Prince George's County motorcycle crash

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Prince George's County police say a man was killed and his passenger was injured in a motorcycle crash in Hyattsville.

Officers say the deadly crash happened in the 7700 block of Muncy Road at around 3 p.m. Thursday.

According to investigators, the operator of the motorcycle lost control and collided with a pole. Police are continuing to investigate why the man lost control of the vehicle.

The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Muncy Road was shut down in both directions due to the incident, but has since reopened.
