Man hospitalized after shooting in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Prince William County police are investigating a shooting in Woodbridge, officials say.
Police say a man was shot at around 2:45 p.m. Monday in the area of Filarete Street and Forestdale Avenue. He was transported by helicopter to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
"Residents in the area can expect a police presence as the investigation continues," Prince William County police said in a post on Twitter.
There is no suspect description at this time, according to police.
Police say there is no threat to the community.
