Man dies in construction accident in Fairfax County, police say

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Fairfax County police said a man died in a construction accident in Alexandria on Wednesday.

Officials said officers responded to the accident scene in the 5700 block of General Washington Drive in Alexandria.

Authorities said a man died from his injuries in the incident. Detectives have not yet positively identified the man, according to officials.

Fairfax County police major crimes and crime scene detectives were investigating the scene and stated they do not suspect any foul play.

The scene was contained to a cul-de-sac and there was no impact to traffic.
