Man killed near Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro Station

A man who was shot near the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro Station Monday afternoon has died. 

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A man who was shot near the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro Station Monday afternoon has died. He has been identified as 24-year-old Malik Brown, of Northwest.

The shooting happened in the 700 block of Quebec Place, NW at around 3 p.m.

Police say Brown was in-and-out of consciousness as he was rushed to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.
