Police arrested 36-year-old Marvin Alexander De Leon Siguenza on January 16 and charged him with stalking and sexual assault.

A 36-year-old man was arrested in Silver Spring Friday on charges of repeatedly stalking a woman, culminating in her sexual assault.

Timeline:

On Friday, January 10, around 7:00 a.m., a female victim was at a bus stop on her way to work in the area of Veirs Mill Rd and Ferrara Ave when a black SUV stopped in front of the bus stop.

A man in the vehicle lowered the passenger window, and motioned to the woman to enter his car. She refused and traffic began to pile up behind the car, with drivers honking their horns. The man kept trying to get her attention, but she ignored him and he drove away. She got on the bus and went to work.

On Tuesday, January 14 around 7:00 a.m., the victim arrived at the same bus stop, and the man was already there. He began flirting with her, according to police documents, asking her name and where she was heading. The bus arrived soon after and she boarded the bus; the man was observed walking away.

On Thursday, January 16, the victim was walking from her apartment complex to the bus stop when she saw a black SUV stopped near the fire lane area. She then spotted a man hiding in the bushes in front of the apartment complex.

The man came out of the bushes towards the woman, but the man ran towards her and grabbed her. She screamed and the man ran away, got into the black SUV and drove off.
