Lanes closed on I-495 after Beltway tractor trailer overturns

BETHESDA, Md. - A tractor trailer overturned on the Beltway early Saturday morning causing a significant traffic jam.

The accident happened on I-495 at Route 355 in Maryland at about 2 a.m. The trailer blocked several lanes.

All lanes but one were closed for a number of hours following the crash on the inner loop near the Wisconsin Avenue exit.

No information has been released about what caused the tractor trailer to overturn or the condition of the driver.
