Inside the 160th Special Ops Aviation Regiment and one member's battle with PTSD and alcoholism
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - So many people in military families throughout the D.C. region can relate to sending a loved one into a battle zone. Many also know what it's like when their loved one is part of a special ops force with their elite work cloaked in mystery.
FOX 5 was able to get a unique look at one of the world's most secretive units, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment -- or SOAR.
The group, also known as 'Night Stalkers,' often conduct missions under the cover of darkness on split-second notice.
Former 'Night Stalker' David Burnett is out with an amazing new memoir, Making a Night Stalker, which also deals with his personal battles back here on the home front.
He joined FOX 5 with more on his new work and on his experiences.
