Injuries after ambulance, tanker truck crash in Stafford County
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Several injuries have been reported after an ambulance and a tanker truck were involved in a crash in Stafford County, Virginia.
The crash was reported just after 7 a.m. Tuesday. Images from the scene show the ambulance on its side.
One patient and three emergency crew members onboard the ambulance were hospitalized. Two crew members were transported for evaluation. The original patient and another crew member had more severe injuries. The driver of the truck refused treatment.
Authorities say the truck was carrying cranberry juice. FOX 5's Erin Como says Warrenton Road at Hartwood Road in the Fredericksburg area was closed to traffic.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
