WASHINGTON - An unidentified individual is facing several charges after Secret Service Agents say they threw a backpack over the north fence of the White House and then attempted to jump the fence.
The incident occurred at around 11:44 p.m. on April 1.
Authorities say the person was taken into custody without incident after jumping over the fence and charged with Unlawful Entry and transported to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Standard security sweeps of the area were conducted following the incident.
The White House complex resumed normal operations shortly thereafter.
