Hikers rescued from rocks along George Washington Parkway

The U.S. Park Police had to rescue two hikers along the George Washington Parkway Thursday night.

The hikers were rescued from the rocks along an overlook after they were unable to get back up.

The rescue happened about a mile and a half from the Spout Run exit.

The U.S. Park Police chopper and Arlington Fire Department hoisted the hikers back onto the overlook using climbing gear.

No one was injured.
