Giant panda cub Bei Bei to make public debut Saturday

WASHINGTON - Bei Bei fans rejoice! The adorable panda cub will make his official public debut Saturday morning -- five months after the panda exhibit closed for his birth.

Zookeepers say Bei Bei is active and boisterous, and that they're expecting big crowds to turn out to meet the cub.

The panda house will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday for Bei Bei's debut. The National Zoo says those interested in trying to catch a glimpse of Bei Bei should enter at the Asia Trail entrance across from the Visitor Center.
