Frightening armed carjacking in DC caught on camera (VIDEO)

Frightening surveillance video captured three suspects carjacking a victim at gunpoint in the District.

DC police said the armed carjacking happened in the 600 block of Elmira Street, Southeast at about 2:35 p.m. on Sunday.

Video shows the victim sitting in the vehicle with the windows down when three suspects approached the vehicle. One suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's car.

The victim complied and the three suspects made off with the vehicle, according to officials.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District.
