Friday temps in the 80s; scattered showers, thunderstorms possible late-afternoon and evening

A warm afternoon but plan ahead for possible scattered showers and thunderstorms later Friday and expect more wet weather over the weekend -- including a soggy Mother's Day!

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says temperatures Friday should reach the lower 80s. We'll start the day with clouds before seeing some sun later during the afternoon, he says. Unstable weather patterns bring the chance for late-afternoon showers and evening thunderstorms possibly arriving sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and continuing into the night.

Saturday will not be a washout, Mike says, but we will get showers later in the day. The morning hours should stay dry with steadier rain moving in by the late-evening. Mother's Day unfortunately looks rainy with cooler temperatures, cloudy skies and wet weather.
