DoorDash delivery driver shot to death in Prince George’s County: police

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. - Prince George’s County police are investigating after a DoorDash delivery driver was shot to death in the Mitchellville area early Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 3700 block of Lottsford Vista Road around 12:20 a.m.

When they arrived, they found 48-year-old Noel Njoku suffering from gunshot wounds. He died shortly after being rushed to a local hospital. Police are still trying to develop information on the suspect and any motive they might have.

FOX 5’s Sierra Fox spoke with Njoku’s wife, Noela, as loved ones surrounded her in support during this difficult and emotional time. She has been happily married to her husband for 19 years. 

Noela describes her husband as a quiet, peaceful, hardworking, and caring man. Njoku leaves behind four children – two daughters 15 and 13-years-old and 11-year-old twin boys. 

She said she knew something was wrong when her husband wasn’t answering his phone and now she wants his killer to come forward.
