Firefighters rescue police stuck in elevator

The Kansas City fire department got an interesting call Wednesday night from their brothers in blue.

The police department called for help after some police got stuck in an elevator at the academy.

The rescue made for some light-hearted teasing.

Tony Pisciotta with the Kansas City Fire Department said it was refreshing to have a call where they could have a little fun.

"We had a lot of fun with them and we made sure everything happened safely, and we did it all the way it's supposed to be done, and they were good sports about it, and we threw our jabs. It was cool."

None of the 12 police officers in the elevator were physically hurt. Their egos may have suffered a little damage, but all in good fun.
