Fire in Southeast DC apartment building displaces 14 people

Fourteen people have been displaced following a fire early Monday morning in Southeast D.C., according to investigators.

D.C. Fire says it happened just before 3 a.m. at 3200 block of Buena Vista Terrace SE. Investigators say there were flames on the first and second floors, as well as the attic of the two-story apartment building.

Officials say one firefighter had non-serious injuries after falling through the floor. They say the fire remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross is working to help the victims.
