Fire damages as many as 7 townhomes in Frederick County

FREDERICK, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Flames tore through as many as seven townhomes in Frederick County causing damage and displacing residents Friday morning.

Authorities say the three-alarm fire was reported just before 9 a.m. in the 500 block of Carrollton Drive in Frederick. Luckily no injuries were reported. The fire was placed under control around 11 a.m.

Authorities say three firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
