FBI seeks man in child porn video
TAMPA (FOX 13) - He's known to the FBI only as John Doe 34, but investigators hope the public can help in revealing his true identity.
That's because that bit of information, John Doe 34's real name, could be the key to solving a national, ongoing child porn investigation. Not only will they have their suspect's identity, but it could lead them to their victim, too.
The FBI first placed the man on their radar back in July, when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children obtained at least one video of him sexually abusing a minor.
After enhancing the video and capturing still images, investigators believe they've collected enough information for someone to recognize, and identify him.
The first set of identifying clues includes a wooden armoire and a unique doll, both spotted in the background of the video.
They've also concluded that the man is likely from the south, based on his accent.
And lastly, investigators say it's likely the original video was shot around Thanksgiving. They hope to prevent this from taking place this coming holiday, and therefore need the public's help.
John Doe 34 is described as a white male, likely between the ages of 18 and 25, with short brown hair and prominent brown eyebrows.
