Fairfax man charged with sexually assaulting a fellow patient at an Annandale nursing home

ANNANDALE, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - A 55-year-old Fairfax man is jailed without bond after he allegedly sexually assaulted a fellow patient at the Sleepy Hollow Healthcare Center in Annandale.

Fairfax County police responded to the nursing home on Columbia Pike around 11 a.m. on Sunday.

After the investigation, police arrested Geoffrey Smallwood, charging him with two counts of aggravated sexual battery against a victim suffering from mental incapacity or physical helplessness.

Smallwood has been at the center since November 2017 and detectives believe there could be additional victims.
