Fairfax County police still looking for suspect in jogging path sexual assault

Fairfax County police are still looking for a man who pulled a jogger off of a path in Reston and sexually assaulted her in a wooded area.

On Tuesday evening, police returned to the area around the crime scene to hand out flyers that include a sketch of the suspect.

The incident unfolded on June 11 around 7:30 p.m. when a woman was jogging along a path. The suspect struck her from behind and then forced her into the woods.

The suspect is a white male between the ages of 50 and 60 with a skinny build, gray, wavy hair, and light colored eyes.

Police believe the suspect could be homeless, and is usually around the Spectrum Center and Reston Town Center.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be offered a cash reward.
