Endangered Child Alert issued for 2-year-old boy in Virginia

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Police in Virginia say they have issued a missing and endangered child alert for a missing toddler and mother.

Charlottesville Police Department say they are searching for 2-year-old Daniel Burnett and his mother, Casey Carter.

Officials say they may be traveling in a red 1998 Saturn sedan with Virginia license plate: VFW1088.

Daniel has blue eyes and blonde hair. He is 2-feet-8-inches tall and weighs 35 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with "Osh Kosh" printed on it, along with gray cargo pants.

The mother, Casey Carter, has brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5'6 in height and weighs 120 lbs.

Officials ask that anyone who has information about Daniel and/or Casey, please call 911 or the Charlottesville Police Department at (434) 970-3280.
