Donations pour in for abandoned bulldog

There's some good news for a bulldog who was abandoned outside a Pinellas Park business -- and for potentially a number of other animals in similar situations.

After our story about 'Andray' aired last night, rescuer Adam Clark was inundated with donations to help pay for the pup's care -- and a few people even offered to adopt the dog.

Clark now has over $7,000 in his GoFundMe account, well over his goal of $1,500. After Andray's vet bills are paid, Clark will donate the remaining money to other abused animals. He is no longer accepting donations.

Police think the dog had been abandoned for several days and had been in rough shape long before that. He was filthy and shivering from the cold and extremely malnourished.

Now, though, Andray has already improved. They say he se seems more energetic and happy but will likely need several more weeks of care at Midway Animal Hospital to heal his skin and put on weight.

Clark says when Andray is ready to go home, either he or one of his close friends will adopt him.
