DNA on duct tape, zip ties lead to arrest in bizarre home invasion robbery

An arrest has been made in a frightening home invasion robbery from back in November.

Montgomery County Police have charged 44-year-old Kevin Carroll with committing home invasion and robbery in Germantown.

The incident happened the night of November 17th when a 21-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl were robbed by masked gunmen.

Police found them in the garage bound and gagged.

Carroll was arrested on March 1st and investigators say they were able to track him down by DNA left on the duct tape and zip ties he allegedly used on the victims.

Carroll was released on bond and police are still searching for a second suspect.

Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
