DC police investigate several overnight armed robberies
WASHINGTON - Police are investigating several armed robberies that happened overnight in the District. Investigators say the robberies happened between the hours of 11 p.m. Tuesday night and 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The first armed robbery happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday on 2nd and E Street in northwest.
Following that incident, police responded to robberies at these locations:
12:12 a.m. (Tue.) - 4000 block of Minnesota Ave, NE
12:37 a.m. (Tue.) - 2600 block of Virginia Ave, NW
2:24 a.m. - 1300 block of 12th Street, NW
2:53 a.m. - 900 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW
3:42 a.m. - 800 block of 12th Street, NE
4 a.m. - 1700 block of Columbia Road, NW
D.C. Police do not know if these armed robberies are related.
