DC police ID woman whose body was found after Bowie brush fire
WASHINGTON - D.C. police have identified a woman whose body was found after a brushfire in Bowie in August.
Police believe the woman was killed in the 3700 block of Horner Place, Southeast.
She was found after firefighters responded to the scene in the 3100 block of Mill Branch Road on Aug. 17 around 6:13 a.m.
They are investigating the death of 24-year-old Marquita Lucas of Northwest as a homicide.
Police have not released any suspect information.
