WASHINGTON - A D.C. man sentenced to life in prison for murder for a crime he committed when he was 16 learned on Friday that he will be released next week.
Momolu Stewart – whose case was highlighted by Kim Kardashian West – was granted time served after spending 23 years in prison.
He was released under the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act, a D.C. law that allows those convicted of violent crimes when they’re minors to petition to be released after 15 years.
Stewart was convicted of killing Mark Rosebure.
