Clueless turns 30 years old
"Clueless" premiered in 1995 as a coming-of-age film. The film is a loose adaptation of Jane Austen's 1815 novel Emma. It centers on a beautiful, popular, and wealthy high school student, Cher Horowitz, who sets out to do good deeds. She befriends a new student, gives her a makeover, plays matchmaker for her teachers, and begins to reflect on her own life.
The film starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, a stylish and well-meaning Beverly Hills teen. The cast also includes Stacey Dash as her best friend Dionne, Brittany Murphy as the new girl Tai, and Paul Rudd as her ex-stepbrother Josh.
