Cheers to the Weekend: Pizza Vinoteca's 'Prima Volta'

It's that time of the week when we say "Cheers to the weekend!" We invite a different local restaurant or bar every week here at FOX 5 to share with us their signature cocktail to give us a nice start to the weekend.

This week, bartender Kate Reed and owner Ari Malcom from Pizza Vinoteca in Ballston joined us in studio to make us their Prima Volta cocktail.

Cocktail: Prima Volta

Recipe:
- 1.5 oz. Gin
- .5 oz. Aperol
- .5 oz. Rosemary Simple Syrup
- .25 oz. Lemon Juice
- Prosecco – to top the drink.

Combine Gin, Aperol, rosemary simple, lemon juice in a mixing glass, add ice, shake, strain into Collins glass with rocks, top with Prosecco, and garnish with small fresh rosemary sprig and a lemon twist.
