Car smashes into Gaithersburg townhouse

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Investigators are working to determine what caused a vehicle to slam into a townhouse in Montgomery County.

The accident happened Tuesday night around 11 p.m. at a house in the 19000 block of Keymar Way in Gaithersburg.

Three occupants were displaced after the accident caused major structural damage to the building. Two of the occupants were assisted out of the second floor by firefighters and the driver of the vehicle was hospitalized.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. No charges have been filed.
