Car collides into building after 2-car crash in Montgomery County

Two people have been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after Montgomery County officials say an SUV crashed into a building in Rockville.

Montgomery County Fire officials say at around 10:45 a.m., two cars crashed at the 16000 block of Rt 355/Frederick Avenue between Redland Boulevard and Shady Grove Road. The crash reportedly caused to the driver of the SUV to lose control of their car and cross several northbound lanes and a sidewalk. Investigators say the car went down an embankment and into the building.

Montgomery County Fire and EMS says some lanes are blocked on northbound and southbound Frederick Avenue between Redland Boulevard and Shady Grove Road. They say a building inspector has now been requested.

Fortunately, officials say no one was seriously injured.
