WASHINGTON - Two brothers accused of shooting a U.S. Park Police officer last month have pleaded not guilty, according to court records.
What we know:
Asheile Foster, 22, and Darren Foster, 21, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to multiple assault and weapons charges.
The brothers have been charged with shooting a Park Police officer on March 23 in Southeast D.C., in what police called an ambush attack. On that day, officials said the Fosters opened fire on the officer sitting in a white Tesla on Queens Stroll Place.

She told FOX 5 DC that she was concerned about being followed, and that she didn't know it was a police officer. She said after she pulled into her driveway, Asheile Foster went out to confront the driver.
The night of the shooting, the Fosters' grandmother said she was detained and questioned without being advised of her rights, that they weren't allowed inside their home while police searched it, and that they were never shown a warrant.
