Boy dies after suffering medical emergency on Fairfax County school bus, police say

Police are conducting a death investigation after a young boy suffered a medical emergency on a Fairfax County school bus, officials say.

Fairfax County police say they received a call at around 1:57 p.m. Thursday about the incident, which took place in the 2300 block of Dulles Station Boulevard in Herndon.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the school bus and attempted to perform life-saving measures on the boy. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.

There were no other children on the school bus, officials say.
