Book tells first-hand stories from secret service agents

Movies and TV shows may make it look like a glamorous job but protecting the president and his family can be challenging.

In his new book, "The First Family Detail," author Ronald Kessler gets firsthand stories from agents who've covered everyone from President Eisenhower to the Obama family.

"We elect these leaders based on what we see on TV; how they smile on TV; the image that they craft themselves" Kessler says. "That image has nothing to do with reality."

"The other side of the book is what the leaders of our country are really like, and when you find that out, that is pretty shocking" Kessler said.
