Body found in rubble after fire destroys Rockville home

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Investigators say a body has been found in the rubble after a fire destroyed a home in Rockville Thursday night.

The fire happened at a house in the 16000 block of Willow Lane at around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say there was significant structural damage after a collapse to the building.. They say the flames from the fire sparked nearby brush fires.

Emergency crews were on the scene overnight searching for the occupant. The body was discovered Friday morning.

The cause of the fire remains investigation.
