BJ's tries to lure Sam's Club members

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. - BJ's Wholesale Club is taking advantage of the closings of Sam's Club warehouses announced on Thursday.

The Walmart-owned company abruptly closed 63 locations on Thursday.

Friday, the Massachusetts-based company issued a release on Friday offering Sam's Club customers a special discount on membership. Sam's Club customers can sign up for $40 for their "Inner Circle Membership." The regular price is $55.

The chain also stated they are hiring and targeted former Sam's Club employees asking them to sign up at bjs.com/careers.
