If you've ever worked in the restaurant business, you'll appreciate this act of generosity.
The staff at Blue 44 Restaurant, located at 5507 Connecticut Avenue in Northwest D.C., got a huge surprise from a regular customer on Memorial Day.
The customer, who doesn't want to be identified, left a $2,000 tip on a bill that was $93.23.
Owner Chris Nardelli said he gave the customer a couple quarts of gumbo on the house after his meal, but he never expected to receive such a memorable tip.
The gratuity was split between the restaurant's owner, chef and bartender.
