ASHANTI ALERT CANCELED: 18-year-old girl 'recovered safely' after reported abduction in Virginia

UPDATE: Police say 18-year-old Tontrese Moore Vermelle has been safely located after being reported abducted from Virginia's Eastern Shore early Wednesday. A search continues for the man they say abducted her, 20-year-old Jerry Antonie Satchell.

Authorities are asking for help finding a critically missing adult they believe was abducted from Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Police say 18-year-old Tontrese Moore Vermelle was last seen around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12 in the Captains Cove area of Accomack County. Tontrese is described by police as a black female, 5-fee-3-inches tall, 135 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes.

Investigators believe she is with 20-year-old Jerry Antonie Satchell, the man they say abducted her. Satchell is described by police as a black male, 5-feet-11-inches-tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Officers say Satchell was last seen wearing a black and white checkered shirt with the words Coca-Cola on it, dark pants, and a red hat. He is believed to be driving a 1993 green Ford F-150 with Virginia tag 5792UX.

Officials say Tontrese's case is considered an Ashanti Alert. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 757-424-6800.
