Artechouse takes you into a 'Parallel Universe' with latest immersive exhibit
WASHINGTON - Step into a parallel universe in Artechouse's fifth digitally-immersive exhibit called "Parallel Universe."
Using mesmerizing visuals and sound, international new media group Ouchhh takes data from science, mathematics and astrology and transforms it into a cinematic exp erience.
There are multiple ways to explore the loud, booming rooms of flashing lights, mirrors, sequences and concentric circles that seem to leap off of the walls.
Guests are encouraged to take their time exploring the detail of the black and white patterns by relaxing in beanbag chairs and drinking in all in - literally. As with previous exhibits, Artechouse's bar offers new creative cocktails that match the theme and some that come to life using their digital app.
A 7-minute, heart-pounding timed performance in the back room leaves auditory and visual senses stunned - all part of Ouchhh's design, wowing audiences with musical connection to art.
Guests are reminded that the strobe effects and sensations in Parallel Universe may be sensitive to some, and those with epilepsy should avoid. It runs until March 4, 2018.
