Artechouse D.C. digital art show gets into the 'Spirit of Autumn'

Get into the 'Spirit of Autumn' with Artechouse's latest interactive art exhibit.

The leaves haven't fully changed in the DMV. But, inside Artechouse's second digital art installation - Spirit of Autumn - the season is in full effect!

Co-founder Tati says she and her co-founder Sandro wanted to celebrate fall and bring the community together for this hands-on, participatory display.

Inside the exhibit, people control the falling leaves, which change color and shape over time as visitors come and go. They can even manipulate lightning, thunder and rain on two particular walls triggered by clapping.

Technology needs a human touch for activation and Artechouse's displays truly emphasis on this unique bond.

But swirling autumn colors go beyond the walls for this display, as patrons can now point their phones at a signature cocktail using an 'augmented reality app' designed to let guest interact with their beverage and see leaves leap off and whirl around.

The 270 degree projection is one of the largest interactive projections in the world, Tati told FOX 5, and will continue to be a platform for different artists to use in future installations.

"Spirit of Autumn" is truly an incredible multi-media experience! It runs until November 5 and keep in mind, tickets are required.

So what's next? Kingdom of Colors! The installation kicks off November 10.

But if you want an early taste of the rainbow, Artechouse gave an inside look on their Instagram page- it's pretty mind blowing.

Be sure to stay connected with FOX 5's digital team for a sneak peek in early November.
