Arrests made in deadly Prince George’s County shooting, police say

Authorities have arrested a man and a teen in connection with a deadly shooting in Prince George’s County.

Officers say 20-year-old Roger Beckwith Jr. and 15-year-old Mark Lechoco were both arrested and face charges in the death of 19-year-old Bryant Brooks.

Investigators believe Lechoco arranged an illegal drug deal with Brooks on Monday night in the Oxon Hill area.

Officers found Brooks suffering from gunshot wounds in 400 block of Winslow Road after they say he was shot by Beckwith during a robbery attempt during the drug deal.

Brooks was pronounced dead on the scene. Lechoco is charged as an adult in the case.
