Armed gunmen rob McDonald's in Crystal City

CRYSTAL CITY, Va. - Police are investigating an armed robbery at the McDonald's on Route 1.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday when gunman stormed the restaurant.

A woman inside at the time of the hold-up told us the men had handguns and jumped over the counter to go after the cash.

That same witness told FOX 5 that the men did get some money from the registers and the safe.

They ran out of the restaurant and remain on the loose.
