Additional round of National Museum of African American History and Culture tickets available Monday
WASHINGTON - An additional round of free tickets to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, D.C.'s newest Smithsonian museum will be released Monday.
On Monday, October 3 at 9:00 a.m. the museum will offer free timed passes. The passes will cover January, February and March 2017.
The passes will be available through the museum's website or by calling ETIX Customer Support Center at 866-297-4020 beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. There is a limit of six free passes per order.
Visitors can try to get a same-day ticket at the museum beginning at 9:15 a.m. daily at the Constitution Ave. and 14th St. entrance. There are a limited number of same-day timed passes, which are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
When visiting the museum keep these rules in mind:
-Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., seven days a week. The museum will be closed Dec. 25.
-There is no limit on the time visitors may spend inside the museum.
-The museum entrance is on Constitution Ave. at 14th St.
-The handicap accessible entrance is located on the Constitution Ave. side of the museum.
-Please do not arrive prior to the hour indicated on your timed pass.
-Lines to enter the museum form outside. Please dress accordingly in the event of inclement weather.
