7-year-old girl shot in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON - D.C. police said a 7-year-old girl was shot Friday night in Southeast D.C.

Police received a call about the shooting in the 2400 block of Hartford Street at around 9:35 p.m., a police spokesperson said.

Police said the victim was conscious and breathing when she was transported by helicopter to a local hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
