7 new traffic enforcement cameras deployed in DC

D.C. police announced they have deployed new traffic enforcement cameras on Monday.

Six speed cameras and one stop sign camera have been place in locations throughout the city.

Here are their locations:

3400 block of 34th Street, NW (northbound) – Speed – 25 mph
100 block of Michigan Avenue, NW (eastbound) – Speed – 25 mph
100 block of Irving Street, NW (westbound) – Speed – 35 mph
Unit block of Irving Street, NW (eastbound) – Speed – 35 mph
3000 block of North Capitol Street, NW (southbound) – Speed – 40 mph
3600 block of Eastern Avenue, NE (southeast bound) – Speed – 25 mph
Bruce Place (eastbound) at 15th Place, SE – Stop Sign – 25 mph

Drivers will receive warning citations for 30 days starting on January 5. After the 30-day period, drivers will then receive fines for violations in these areas.
